The Anya Pit Taing Htaung Lay Group has donated one meal on behalf of a donor to internally displaced persons (IDPs) at a camp in Salingyi Township, who were forced to flee their homes due to military council operations. The donation was specifically made to one IDP camp, providing much-needed sustenance to displaced civilians who are facing significant daily challenges in meeting their basic needs for food and survival.
Due to the military council’s offensive operations, residents from villages in Salingyi Township have had to abandon their homes and are currently seeking shelter in IDP camps. These displaced civilians are in urgent need of food supplies and daily necessities, with humanitarian organizations and donors providing assistance as much as they can. The Anya Pit Taing Htaung Lay Group has been regularly providing food and other necessary aid to these displaced civilians who are struggling to maintain their basic living conditions in the camps.
The displaced people sheltering in these IDP camps are unable to return to their homes due to the ongoing security situation. The military council’s continued artillery shelling and raids on villages have forced them to remain in displacement. As a result, there is an ongoing need to provide food supplies and other essential support to these displaced civilians who cannot safely return to their places of origin. The humanitarian situation remains critical as these communities continue to rely on external assistance for their survival while living in temporary shelters away from their homes.
