
A twilight protest against the military dictatorship was successfully held in a village within Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region, with revolutionary students and civilians joining together. Protesters peacefully demonstrated while holding signs demanding the end of the military dictatorship, the emergence of a federal democratic system, and expressing their opposition to the military regime.
Yinmabin Township is known as one of the strong centers of anti-military dictatorship activism within Sagaing Region, where local people have been continuously resisting the military regime. Despite the military council’s oppression and violence, civilians have not stopped their demands for democracy. This twilight protest represents a manifestation of public sentiment against the military dictatorship system.
Participants in the protest took special security precautions and implemented safety measures to avoid arrest and persecution by military council troops. Local People’s Defense Forces also provided security support for the demonstration. All participants were able to safely disperse after the protest concluded.
