
On March 17, the Shwe Yay Kyun People’s Strike Column led a protest in Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region, demanding action against the violent military under Article 33 of the International Labour Organization (ILO). The protesters carried banners reading ‘ILO Implement Article 33 On Myanmar Now 2025′ and called for international action against the military’s violations of workers’ rights.
The demonstration highlighted the military council’s widespread violations of basic labor rights, including forced labor and military conscription. Protesters marched through the town streets in an organized manner, carrying signs demanding the implementation of ILO Article 33 against the military regime.
