The Shwe Yay Kyun People’s Strike Column conducted a peaceful protest march against the military dictatorship in Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region, on April 6. Local residents in Yinmabin Township have been continuously carrying out anti-military dictatorship activities, and this public protest march demonstrates the people’s rejection of the military dictatorship system. Protesters carried signs supporting the National Unity Government (NUG) and People’s Defense Forces while marching with the Shwe Yay Kyun People’s Strike Column.
Under the military dictatorship, people have lost their freedoms and basic rights, while the military council continues to commit violent oppression against civilians. The people are fighting for democracy as the military council forces in Yinmabin Township continue to impose forced military service, arrests, and torture on civilians. Despite these oppressive actions, people remain united in their struggle for the success of the revolution. These public protest marches demonstrate the people’s complete rejection of the military dictatorship system and show their strong determination to achieve democracy.
