A protest against Myanmar’s military coup was held in Daegu, South Korea on March 2nd. The demonstration was led by a revolutionary activist monk from Daegu who urged participants to maintain strong determination in their individual roles until liberation from the oppressive military dictatorship is achieved. The monk emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts between domestic and international revolutionary forces, encouraging them to maintain unwavering support for the resistance movement.
The monk highlighted the urgent need to provide food and essential supplies to the dramatically increasing number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have been forced to flee their homes due to the military regime’s brutal oppression. He called for international community support to assist these displaced civilians. The monk also stressed the importance of unified public participation in ending the military dictatorship and encouraged everyone to persist in their revolutionary efforts until victory is achieved.
Local residents and Myanmar citizens who attended the protest carried anti-military dictatorship signs and posters, conducting a peaceful demonstration while raising bold voices for the success of the revolution. The protest was organized with the aim of garnering increased international support for anti-military dictatorship movements and drawing more attention to the Myanmar people’s struggle for democracy. Participants demonstrated their solidarity with Myanmar’s civilian population while condemning the military regime’s ongoing violence and oppression against its own people.
