
A protest against the military dictatorship was held in a village within Budalin Township, Sagaing Region, jointly organized by the Budalin Township Strike Force and the Women’s Alliance of Burma (WAB). Local residents participated in the demonstration, carrying signs expressing their opposition to the military dictatorship and demanding its end. The protesters boldly raised their voices for the complete removal of the military dictatorship system and the establishment of a federal democratic system.
During the protest, participants highlighted the difficulties faced by civilians living under military oppression, calling for an end to military violence, arbitrary arrests and detentions, and the looting and destruction of civilian property. They also spoke out about the loss of civil liberties under military rule and the economic hardships that people are facing, including difficulties in maintaining their livelihoods due to the economic downturn caused by the military’s mismanagement.
The protest was conducted peacefully and received support from local residents. The participants affirmed their commitment to continue fighting in unity for the complete elimination of the military dictatorship and the restoration of democracy. The demonstration concluded with protesters chanting slogans about the inevitable victory of their revolution. Throughout the event, demonstrators maintained their strong stance against the military council while emphasizing the importance of returning power to the civilian population and establishing a genuine democratic system in Myanmar.
