
On March 8, the ‘Our Village Without Savior’ strike column conducted an anti-military dictatorship protest in Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region. During the protest, local residents united in their opposition to the military dictatorship, rejection of the military coup, and demands for the restoration of democracy. Protesters carried signs calling for the elimination of the dictatorship system, the re-establishment of civilian government, and the complete eradication of military rule, conducting their demonstration peacefully.
The ‘Our Village Without Savior’ strike column has been continuously active in opposing the military dictatorship and has received strong support from local residents. Participants in the protest demonstrated against the oppression, human rights violations, and economic decline that people are suffering under military rule. They demanded an end to the military group’s violence, arbitrary arrests, and forced recruitment into the military.
Yinmabin Township is one of the areas in Sagaing Region where anti-military dictatorship movements remain strong, with local residents actively participating in pro-democracy activities. Strike column leaders stated that they will continue their anti-dictatorship activities. Protesters expressed their commitment to continue fighting until the civilian government is restored and declared their determination to remain united in their struggle against the dictatorship system.
