
Military council forces conducted aerial bombardments on villages in Myittha Township, Mandalay Region, beginning on the morning of August 12. Starting from 7:30 AM, fighter jets dropped approximately 38 bombs targeting areas near Kyauk Tatar village, Let Wae Gyi village, and Htan Pin Kone village. The aerial attacks forced local residents to flee their homes and abandon their properties to seek safety in other locations.
Around noon, the military council forces continued their assault using a fighter jet to conduct machine gun attacks on the aforementioned villages. Additionally, they carried out three separate arson attacks in the vicinity of Htan Pin Kone village since morning. The military council’s aerial attacks have resulted in the destruction of civilian properties and forced residents to flee in fear for their safety, abandoning their homes and possessions.
Similarly, the area near Pwet Chaung in Wetlet Township was also targeted with four bombs dropped by fighter jets around 4:30 PM, accompanied by heavy artillery fire. These attacks have forced local residents to evacuate their homes and seek shelter in safer locations due to concerns for their lives. As of now, there has been no confirmation regarding civilian casualties or injuries resulting from these attacks.
