
An educational session on air defense awareness was conducted for students studying under the National Unity Government (NUG) education system in Salingyi Township, Sagaing Region. During the session, basic knowledge about paramotors and air defense was shared, and informational pamphlets were distributed to the students. The presentation covered essential information about different types of aircraft, methods of identifying aircraft by sound, and procedures for protection against aerial attacks.
The session provided detailed explanations about various types of military aircraft, their characteristics, and the different kinds of weapons typically used in aerial attacks. Students were taught how to recognize the sounds of approaching aircraft and the immediate actions to take during an air raid. The training also included information about the military council’s common aerial attack patterns and the threat levels of different types of weapons systems they employ. Participants learned about emergency protocols and the importance of having predetermined safe locations for shelter during aerial attacks.
The presentation emphasized the importance of proper bunker construction and selection of emergency shelter locations. Students were instructed on safety protocols to follow during air raids and the emergency communication channels they should use. The session also stressed the necessity of community-wide participation in air defense awareness and preparation. The training covered practical guidance on how to identify potential threats, respond to emergency situations, and maintain communication during crisis situations.
