According to statements from the Kawlin People’s Defense Force and confirmation from Kawlin Information officials, the terrorist military conducted an unprovoked aerial bombing on Paypinchaung village in Kawlin Township, Sagaing Region. On August 23 at approximately 10:50 AM, a fighter jet from the Meiktila Air Base deliberately attacked Paypinchaung village in eastern Kawlin Township with two bombs. While the attack resulted in damage to farmlands, farm shelters, and motorcycles, as well as injuries to some livestock, fortunately no civilian casualties were reported.
Additionally, on August 20, the terrorist military conducted another aerial attack using a Y-12 aircraft, dropping over thirty bombs on villages in eastern Kawlin Township. This attack resulted in the deaths of four innocent civilians and injured eight others, while also causing significant damage to residential buildings and infrastructure. These systematic attacks targeting civilian populations have raised serious concerns within the international community about the military’s conduct and disregard for civilian safety.
Simultaneously, in Kanbalu Township of Sagaing Region, a military column consisting of approximately 200 troops, including Pyu Saw Htee members, has advanced from their temporary base toward Kyikyinn village. The column began moving at 6:15 AM and has been conducting drone strikes along their route, according to confirmed reports from local activists in Kyunhla. Local sources clarified that Kyikyinn village, which is now under threat, is not a Pyu Saw Htee village but rather an ordinary village located along a strategic route. The military council forces have been conducting regular operations in Kanbalu Township, and on August 20, their forces from the Koetaunbo temporary base shot and killed a civilian in Kyakattaing village.
