Revolutionary groups in Yangon have conducted a campaign posting arrest warrant photos of military leader Min Aung Hlaing and Russian President Vladimir Putin throughout the city. The activity was led by four allied Yangon revolutionary organizations – the Linn Yaung Ni Youth Organization, Mayangone Democratic Front, Kyimyindaing Networks, and Owl Community. This campaign aims to expose to the world the violence being perpetrated against Myanmar civilians by the military council and war crimes committed against Ukrainian people by Russia.
The Myanmar military council continues to commit crimes including violence against civilians, arbitrary arrests and killings, torture, and forced military conscription, while Russia has launched an invasion of Ukraine resulting in the deaths of innocent civilians, leading to arrest warrants being issued by the International Criminal Court. Myanmar people are showing solidarity with the Ukrainian people through these activities, demonstrating their united stand against authoritarian aggression.
