
The Arakan Army (AA) has successfully captured a military council outpost at Four Houses Camp along the Penwon-Taunggut road at the border of Bago Region and Rakhine State. According to defected soldier Min Khant from the military’s frontline base, the AA launched the offensive with more than 1,500 troops. This area represents a strategically important territory for the military council’s control, and the AA’s successful offensive is expected to significantly weaken the junta’s grip on the region.
In Tanintharyi Region’s Yebyu Township, an attack on the Pyu Saw Htee camp in Mintha village resulted in the deaths of six military council soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members, according to the Mon State Revolution Force (MSRF). This attack represents an effective operation by People’s Defense Forces against the military council’s affiliated groups in the region. The Pyu Saw Htee group has been serving as a local security and control force for the military council.
In Bago Region’s Gyobingauk Township, an attack on military council troops from the Alaykon Police Station resulted in the deaths of at least ten military council personnel, including the local security commander Ngwe Soe. This battle reflects the ongoing series of attacks by People’s Defense Forces against military council troops in the Bago Region. While the military council continues to attempt to maintain control in the area, they face significant challenges due to attacks from revolutionary forces.
