
SOUTHERN SHAN STATE – Local residents said that the terrorist army bombarded Tha Byae Daung Pagoda, Nawnghkio township, which is occupied by TNLA in northern Shan State on 6th February by plane, destroying temples and schools and injuring 1 person.
On February 6th, at 10:30 a.m. in Nawnghkio, the junta council bombed Tha Byae Daung Pagoda hill with a jet plane, and the school building and pagoda were damaged due to the bombing. It is said that there are no TNLA troops stationed in the area.
As a result of the bombing attack by the plane, 30-year-old Sai Hla Oo, who was driving a sugar cane car, was hit by the bomb and seriously injured.
“There is only a pagoda and a monastery in that area. It is a religious area,” a local resident said.
Similarly, on January 21st, the terrorist army dropped (2) 300-pound bombs with a jet fighter on the general administration office in Nawnghkio. As a result of the bombing, one 60 year old woman was killed, a 17 year old girl and a man were injured. The general administration office and police station were damaged.
In addition, on January 21st, a bomb was dropped by the terrorist army on Konekgyi Ywama village, which is 20 kilometers southwest of Nawnghkio, which was controlled by the revolutionary forces, and 2 houses were damaged. On January 22nd, at 11:30 a.m., 2 jet fighter planes dropped two 500-pound bombs on the market area of Nawnghkio, hitting a Parami tea shop and 2 homes, killing 9 people.
