KARENNI STATE – Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF) BO9 announced that it came into the legal fold on February 3rd that a soldier who had been casted lots into military service against his will because of the conscription law of the terrorist army brought weapons and ammunition to the 9th Battalion of KNDF.
It is said that the above mentioned soldier arrived in June 2024 to the 429th Light Infantry Battalion based in Bawlakhe township after he was forcibly sent to military training for batch number 1 due to the terrorist army’s conscription law.
It was reported that he had successfully defected with an MA-11 rifle and 3 cartridges of ammunition on February 3rd, to the 9th Battalion of the Karenni National Defense Force.
The soldier who was forced to go to war did not want to do the senseless fighting and killing of people for the tyrant. He is one of the people who wants to work honestly and live life like an ordinary civilian.
On December 11, 2024, 4 terrorist soldiers defected and took refuge with 3 guns. It was also reported that within 3 months, 5 enemy soldiers had defected to the KNDF BO9 battalion with 4 small arms.
