
Officials from the Tanintharyi Township People’s Defense Force have confirmed that their forces successfully attacked a military camp stationed in Wamut Kyun village, Tanintharyi Township, Tanintharyi Region, resulting in multiple military casualties. The first attack was carried out in the morning of September 19, during which three soldiers from the military forces suffered severe injuries. The revolutionary forces were able to withdraw safely without sustaining any casualties, according to the People’s Defense Force statement.
A second attack was launched around 2 PM on September 20, targeting the same military camp in Wamut Kyun village, resulting in one additional soldier being wounded. Over the course of the two-day operations, a total of four military personnel were confirmed injured, though the People’s Defense Force officials stated they could not yet verify if there were any fatalities among the military forces. The resistance forces continued to maintain their tactical advantage throughout both engagements.
Due to the escalating military tensions within Tanintharyi Township, the People’s Defense Force has issued a warning to local residents and travelers to exercise extreme caution and prioritize their safety when moving through the area. The resistance forces have indicated they will continue their operations against military positions as necessary to ensure the security of local civilians, who face ongoing threats from military activities in the region.
