A group of Myanmar people residing in Thailand has made a collective donation to a new IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) camp located in Brigade 6 territory of Karen State along the Thai-Myanmar border. The donation was led by AAC Ko Ye Min and his team, who delivered essential food items and other necessary supplies to the displaced civilians taking shelter at the camp.
The donated items included rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, meat substitutes, and snacks for children. This charitable initiative was aimed at helping alleviate the hardships faced by the displaced people in terms of their daily sustenance needs. The families seeking refuge in the new IDP camp have been struggling to meet their basic needs, making such donations crucial for their survival and well-being.
Myanmar nationals living in Thailand, understanding the difficulties faced by their fellow citizens, came together to provide whatever assistance they could. The number of civilians forced to flee their homes due to the ongoing conflict continues to rise, and the donors have expressed their commitment to continue their efforts in providing necessary aid to these displaced communities. This humanitarian effort represents a significant show of solidarity from the Myanmar diaspora in Thailand towards their compatriots affected by the ongoing crisis in their homeland.
