The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) has reported that the terrorist military conducted aerial bombardments on Ward 2 in Kyaukme City, Shan State, without any ongoing battles in the area. On September 20 at approximately 1:30 PM, the military council dropped two 250-pound bombs on Ward 2 of Kyaukme City using aircraft, despite there being no active conflict in the area. Fortunately, no civilians were injured during this aerial attack.
Similarly, on September 9, the military council conducted another aerial attack on Lway Kaw village in Kyaukme Township, dropping three 250-pound bombs from aircraft and two additional bombs from drones. This attack resulted in significant damage to local farmlands. The TNLA has issued warnings to civilians to remain vigilant against military airstrikes and to follow proper air raid defense procedures for their safety. The organization emphasized the importance of maintaining constant military awareness to avoid becoming victims of these unprovoked attacks.
In a related incident, a representative from Voice of Mandalay confirmed that the military council also conducted aerial attacks on Waphyutaung village in Thabeikkyin Township, Mandalay Region, where there were no ongoing conflicts. On September 20 at approximately 11:45 AM, the military council deployed a fighter jet to bomb Waphyutaung village. While no civilian casualties were reported from this attack, several homes were destroyed in the bombardment. These attacks demonstrate the military council’s deliberate targeting of civilian areas, constituting war crimes against the local population. The military continues to conduct these attacks on civilian areas without any military necessity, showing a clear pattern of violence against its own people.
