
Revolutionary forces conducted a drone strike against military forces hiding near Thayaryu Station in Mon State’s Thanbyuzayat Township, resulting in military casualties according to confirmation from the Mon State Revolutionary Force. The attack occurred around 1 PM on September 18th, during which two bombs were dropped via drone. The revolutionary forces were able to safely withdraw after the operation. The joint attack was carried out through coordination between the Mon State Revolutionary Force, Ye People’s Defense Force, Ramanya Army, KNLA Battalion 27 Division 1, and Tapin Shwehti Force.
Meanwhile, in Mandalay Region’s Thaung Tha Township, military forces have been conducting operations and burning villages, according to local residents. On September 18th, military columns entered the township under the pretext of ‘clearance operations’ and proceeded to burn down Yonesi Gyi village and Thanbo village while looting residents’ possessions. Local civilians have been forced to flee due to the military operations, with some reportedly being arrested or killed according to local sources.
The military operations in Thaung Tha Township are ongoing, with troops repeatedly moving between the town and villages to conduct attacks and loot property. Due to the large number of displaced civilians fleeing to safety, detailed information about the situation remains limited, according to those assisting internally displaced persons in the township. The current military offensive has created an atmosphere of fear and instability among local residents, with security conditions remaining volatile in the area.
