The devastating attack claimed the life of a 62-year-old senior monk and injured a female farmer from Kon Tha Village. The monastery buildings sustained significant damage during the bombardment. According to the Myingyan Public Movement Committee’s statement, the military council forces conducted this sudden aerial assault during a period of no active conflict in the area, highlighting the unprovoked nature of the attack. The destruction of religious buildings and loss of life has deeply affected the local community.
