A spokesperson from the People’s Defense Force in Ye-U Township has confirmed that six military council soldiers, including one officer, were killed in a drone strike carried out by revolutionary forces in Sagaing Region’s Ye-U Township. The incident occurred around 10:30 AM on September 14, when resistance forces launched a drone attack on military council troops who were gathering at Gawi Garden Gate, preparing to conduct operations in villages west of Ye-U town.
During the attack, six military council personnel, including one officer, were killed, and four others were severely wounded. The operation was jointly conducted by Shwebo District Battalion 14, Shwebo District Battalion 9, and the Budalin PDF drone unit. The attack was carried out in response to the military council’s ongoing campaign of violence, looting, and destruction of civilian properties in the region. The resistance forces targeted the military council troops as they were preparing to launch operations against local villages, which have frequently been subjected to military violence and persecution.
