According to Black Vote Fighter Local PDF and Black People’s Defense Force, at least 29 military council troops were killed in two separate mine attacks by revolutionary forces along the Monywa-Yagyi-Kalewa road in Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region. The first attack took place on September 10 at approximately 11:35 AM when revolutionary forces intercepted a military column of about 200 troops moving along the Monywa-Yagyi-Kalewa road from Ban Bwe Pyu Saw Htee village. During this initial attack, nine military council troops were killed while the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw safely without any casualties.
The second attack occurred on September 14 when revolutionary forces targeted military council troops stationed in Thauk Kyin village as they were moving along the Monywa-Yagyi road. The resistance forces deployed 20 Padamya mines in the attack, which was followed by approximately 45 minutes of intense fighting. In this second engagement, at least 20 military council troops were killed. After the battle, the military forces retreated to Thauk Kyin village and transported their dead and wounded to the Northwest Military Command headquarters. The coordinated attacks were carried out through the joint efforts of the Black Vote Fighter group, Black People’s Defense Force, Winka Guerrilla Force, and Mother’s Son Guerrilla Force.
During the fighting, the revolutionary forces lost one firearm and have appealed to the public for support and assistance. The successful operations demonstrate the continued resistance against the military council in the Sagaing Region, where revolutionary forces maintain active operations against military targets. The attacks represent significant tactical victories for the resistance forces, who were able to inflict substantial casualties on the military council troops while minimizing their own losses. The coordination between multiple resistance groups also shows the growing cooperation among various revolutionary forces operating in the region.
