According to a statement released by Battalion 3801 of Thayawady District No. 1, resistance forces successfully attacked a Pyu Saw Htee outpost in Pantin Pin village, Nattalin Township, Bago Region, causing military troops to flee and resulting in the seizure of ammunition. The attack was carried out by revolutionary forces from Battalion 1 of Thayawady District under Strategic Command 22 of the Bago Military Command at around 10 PM on September 12. During the engagement, both Pyu Saw Htee members and military soldiers stationed at the outpost retreated into the village.
The resistance forces decided to withdraw from the area due to concerns about potential civilian casualties. Following the military’s retreat from the Pyu Saw Htee outpost in Pantin Pin village, revolutionary forces were able to seize military equipment including one carbine ammunition box, 85 carbine rounds, and two mobile phones. According to local residents, the military junta also conducted aerial attacks using aircraft on villages in both Oktwin and Nattalin townships later that evening.
A military aircraft targeted Kyaing Gyi village in Oktwin Township with five bombs and also conducted bombing raids on Kwin San village in Nattalin Township. Fortunately, no civilian casualties were reported from these aerial attacks. The ongoing aerial bombardment of civilian areas by the military has caused significant fear and anxiety among local residents, forcing many to flee to safer locations. These attacks demonstrate the military’s continued use of disproportionate force against civilian populations, leading to widespread displacement and humanitarian concerns in the affected areas.
