
Intense fighting continues between the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and the military council forces in Kyaukme Township, Northern Shan State, with the military council conducting continuous airstrikes and drone attacks on villages, forcing local residents to flee to safety. The battles, which began in August, have been occurring daily between the military council forces advancing from Naung Pin village towards Kyaukme town and TNLA forces.
On September 12 afternoon, the military council conducted airstrikes on Taung Saylate village, causing extensive damage to many houses. Additionally, on the night of September 11, they launched drone attacks on Byaung Kyinn mountain near Nam Sot village and conducted airstrikes on Zaypin Camp village. On the same morning, they also attacked Kaung Mu Lyan village with a Y-12 aircraft, dropping more than thirty bombs, according to local sources.
On September 12, the military council continued their attacks on Khaik Tun Hun village and surrounding villages using Y-12 aircraft and drones. Due to these daily aerial attacks, local residents have been unable to remain in their homes and entire villages have been evacuated. Currently, residents from both Kyaukme town and surrounding villages have fled to safer locations, leaving the town virtually deserted with minimal civilian movement.
