The People’s Defense Force (PDF) has confirmed that Pyu Saw Htee member Aye Min Htun was killed in a shooting incident in Pan Sin Pin village, Paungde Township, Bago Region. According to the Intelligence and Information Officer from PDF Battalion 3601, Comrade Shadow, the incident occurred on September 11 at 7:00 AM when Aye Min Htun was heading to his farm field. Forces from PDF Strategic Command 21’s Battalion 3601, Company 2, intercepted and engaged him outside Pan Sin Pin village, resulting in his immediate death at the scene.
According to PDF officials, Aye Min Htun had been a persistent source of trouble for local residents, regularly engaging in the forceful confiscation of food supplies and personal belongings from nearby villages. He was known for terrorizing local civilians and illegally seizing their property. The PDF stated that this operation was a direct response to numerous complaints from local residents who had suffered under his actions. Comrade Shadow explained that Aye Min Htun had been systematically raiding farmlands belonging to local villagers and arbitrarily confiscating civilian property for an extended period, which ultimately led to the PDF taking decisive action against him.
Battalion 3601 of the People’s Defense Force in Pyay District has issued a stern warning that they will continue to take similar decisive action against other military council collaborators and their associates who oppress civilians in the Paungde Township area. The PDF emphasized their commitment to protecting civilian lives and property, stating they will maintain their stance alongside the people in their struggle against military dictatorship. They further assured that they will continue their operations to eliminate all elements that threaten civilian safety and security in the region, as part of their broader mission to bring an end to the military dictatorship system.
