On the ground, a military column of approximately 300 troops led by Brigadier General Naing Naing Oo from Mahlaing town has established a presence in Yoneson Gyi village. The column includes Pyu Saw Htee militia members from Wa Gyi Ain village. This military force began burning houses in the North Chaing quarter of Yoneson Gyi village around 1 PM on September 11, and continued their destruction the following day, September 12, by setting fire to homes in the Nibbuta quarter, as confirmed by local residents.
Due to the military council’s offensive operations, thousands of civilians from Yoneson Gyi village and surrounding areas have been forced to flee their homes, fearing for their lives. The military council forces continue their attacks with helicopter gunships during nighttime hours, resulting in the destruction of civilian lives and property. Local sources indicate that they are currently unable to confirm whether any residents have been detained by the military forces. The ongoing military operations have created a humanitarian crisis in the area, with displaced civilians seeking refuge in safer locations while their homes and possessions are systematically destroyed by the military council forces.
