The military has been conducting airstrikes for two consecutive days on villages in the eastern part of Wetlet Township, despite the absence of any active fighting, forcing local residents to flee to safer locations. On the evening of September 9, the military conducted consecutive airstrikes using Y-12 aircraft on multiple villages including Thit Seip, Inn Daung, Yonpinkone, Minkone, Nabepinlha, and Taptha villages. These attacks resulted in the deaths of four civilians, including a child, and left 13 others injured.
Additionally, military forces conducting ground operations in Wetlet Township have been burning houses along the District-3 connecting road. On September 10 at approximately 6:25 PM, they set fire to more than 20 houses in Upper Taik village and along the District-3 connecting road while also firing small arms indiscriminately. However, local residents had managed to evacuate in advance, preventing any casualties. Local information networks have warned residents to remain vigilant as the military continues to conduct unprovoked airstrikes on villages throughout the township.
