The incident occurred on August 18th in the evening when the Black Tiger guerrilla unit of Battalion 3802 Column 5 from Thayarwaddy District apprehended the individual who was gathering intelligence about revolutionary forces. The informant, identified as Pyu Saw Htee Pyae Sone, was caught while conducting surveillance operations on the Minle Dam embankment in Pyitawtha village of Htone Bo Township.
The arrested individual was known to be a follower of Wana, a notorious Pyu Saw Htee leader in Ayemyathaya town.
