Villages in Pauk Township, Magway Region, are under continuous aerial attacks by the military junta, forcing local residents to flee to safety. On September 2nd morning, the military’s Y-12 aircraft from Tatmadaw Air Base conducted bombing raids on villages in the northwestern part of Pauk Township from 6 AM to 7 AM, lasting for one hour. Due to these attacks, villagers have evacuated en masse to safer locations, and due to communication lines being cut off, the extent of casualties and injuries cannot yet be confirmed.
According to an official from the Myaing Dawn Min Ground News Distribution Team, residents are fleeing due to fears of continued aerial attacks by the military. On September 1st, around 5 PM, the military’s Y-12 aircraft also attacked villages in the eastern part of Pauk Township with 35 bombs, forcing villagers to evacuate to safer areas. The military has been conducting systematic aerial attacks on civilian areas, causing widespread displacement and fear among the local population.
