
A Pyu Saw Htee member named Bo Gyi, who had been collecting monthly military service fees of 60,000 kyats per household in Kyun Su village, Oat Twin Kone village tract of Gyobingauk Township in Bago Region, was killed in an attack on August 28 at approximately 12:30 PM. The incident was confirmed by an official from the Thayawady District No. 1 Battalion 3801, Company 5 Gyobingauk HERO Guerrilla Force. The deceased Pyu Saw Htee member was not only collecting monthly military service fees from local residents but was also reportedly gathering intelligence about People’s Defense Force members and their civilian supporters.
The guerrilla force members conducted a raid on Bo Gyi’s residence, resulting in his immediate death, and seized a hand grenade from his possession. According to the guerrilla force’s statement, they will continue to target administrative officials and Pyu Saw Htee members who oppress civilians and force them into military service. The force has warned civilians to avoid proximity to the terrorist military and their subordinates. This incident in Kyun Su village represents an action against the military council’s forced collection of military service fees and aims to stop the oppression of local civilians. The guerrilla forces have pledged to continue their operations against military council collaborators and their associates.
