
The National Unity Government’s Ministry of Defense has officially announced that it has convened a meeting with commanders from 10 military commands to establish future operational plans aimed at achieving final victory against the terrorist military council. The meeting, held from August 23 to 25, was attended by the Commander-in-Chief, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Military Headquarters officials, Commander of Military Region 1, Regional Commanders and Deputy Commanders from 10 military commands, and senior officials from the Ministry of Defense.
During the meeting, participants discussed strategies to maintain the momentum of successful military operations in the people’s resistance war, systematically organize the People’s Defense Force and People’s Defense Teams, improve command and control systems, maintain military discipline and ethics, and achieve ultimate victory over the terrorist military council. Commanders from each regional command presented detailed analyses of their respective areas’ military situations, battle experiences, strengths, and weaknesses, leading to the establishment of comprehensive future operational plans.
Currently, under the command of the People’s Defense Force Headquarters, ten military commands are actively operating with various battalions and units. These commands include Sagaing Regional Command, Mandalay Regional Command, Magway Regional Command, Southern Shan-Kayah (Karenni) Regional Command, Naypyidaw Regional Command, Bago Regional Command, Yangon Regional Command, Ayeyarwady Regional Command, Tanintharyi Regional Command, and Special Regional Command. Each regional command has systematically organized people’s defense forces within their territories and continues to resist the brutal actions of the terrorist military council.
