The clashes, which occurred between August 19-25, involved military council forces supported by artillery from Infantry Battalion 282, with approximately 150 troops encountering resistance forces between Kaut Hlaing and Myaung Chaung villages.
The initial engagement on August 19 lasted two hours, followed by another clash on August 20 when military council forces returned with over 80 troops, resulting in their retreat after more than an hour of fighting with revolutionary forces. On August 22, fighting resumed near Myaung Chaung village, and on August 23, resistance forces launched an attack on military council troops stationed at Myaung Chaung monastery, engaging in a 30-minute battle.
On August 24, additional clashes occurred when military council forces advanced from Myaung Chaung village toward Mile 60 village, resulting in four separate engagements. The following day, August 25, fighting broke out when military council forces entered Thayarmon village along Union Highway No. 8 in Yephyu Township. Throughout these engagements, revolutionary forces reported no casualties while confirming 36 military council troops were killed, as verified by both ground forces and local sources.
