
A spokesperson from the Youth Revolutionary Force has confirmed that revolutionary forces successfully attacked Infantry Battalion 591 in Kyaung Village, Ye Township, Mon State, resulting in one casualty and at least three injuries on the military side. The attack began at approximately 5:30 AM on August 23rd, with YRF youth revolutionary forces initiating the assault using three 40mm weapons, followed by small arms fire. During the engagement, while the military responded with heavy weapons, the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw successfully without sustaining any casualties.
Following the battle, in the morning hours, the military conducted intensive security checks in the surrounding areas of the base and nearby villages. Reports indicate that they deployed two military vehicles full of soldiers, primarily targeting young people during their security operations. The attack was a joint operation between the YRF and KNLA Battalion 27 Division 5. The military spokesperson confirmed that there were no additional casualties on the military side after the initial engagement. The successful operation demonstrated the continuing effectiveness of coordinated resistance efforts against military positions in the region, with revolutionary forces maintaining their tactical capability to conduct targeted strikes while ensuring the safety of their personnel.
