
Two civilians were injured when the military council launched an unprovoked aerial attack on a preschool and clinic in Laytwinsin village, Yenangyaung Township, Magway Region, according to local residents. The attack occurred around 10:30 PM on August 21, when military aircraft dropped two bombs on the preschool and clinic facilities without any ongoing conflict in the area. The bombing resulted in damage to both buildings and injuries to two civilians.
According to a local resident, the military council deliberately targeted civilian areas without any military engagement, demonstrating a pattern of attacks on non-military targets. Additionally, on August 8, the military council had conducted another aerial attack using powered paragliders on the Koetaungpyi Pagoda compound in Nyaunggyihla village, Yenangyaung Township, causing damage to religious structures. Local residents report that the military council continues to carry out aerial attacks against civilians in the region, resulting in ongoing casualties and injuries to innocent civilians.
