The incident occurred around 11:30 AM on August 19, when military fighter jets dropped two bombs near Samankyun village. As a result of the attack, a villager in his twenties sustained severe injuries and is now in critical condition, according to local sources. Ko Pyae Thu, the news coordinator for People’s Comrades Salin, confirmed the incident.
Additionally, the terrorist military forces carried out an unprovoked aerial attack using a helicopter gunship on Nyaungkan village in Budalin Township, Sagaing Region. On August 20, around 12:00 PM, a military helicopter from the Northern Command launched an aerial assault on Nyaungkan village, as confirmed by a representative from the Ywa Zaw Gyi Revolution Voice. However, this attack did not result in any civilian casualties or damage to residential buildings, with the bombs only exploding on the road. The helicopter gunship returned to the Northern Command headquarters at approximately 12:43 PM after conducting the attack.
