The military has deployed extensive security forces throughout the city, conducting thorough checks and implementing strict controls on public access.
Reports indicate that a tree-planting ceremony is scheduled to take place in a village near Minbu city, which Min Aung Hlaing is expected to attend. The city is currently under intense surveillance, with rigorous security checks being conducted on all individuals attempting to enter or exit the city. Ordinary citizens are facing significant difficulties in accessing the city, with military personnel conducting extensive searches and questioning at all entry points. Local sources report that security forces have been heavily deployed at all access points to the city, maintaining strict control over civilian movement.
The terrorist military has issued warnings through Battalion No. 6 of Minbu District, instructing civilians to maintain distance from soldiers and police personnel, avoid unnecessary travel within the city, and refrain from handling or examining any unfamiliar objects. Min Aung Hlaing was born in Minbu on July 3, 1956, to father Khin Hlaing, a painter, and mother Hla Mu, making Minbu his birthplace and hometown. The current security measures reflect the military’s typical approach of imposing severe restrictions on civilian movement and activities whenever high-ranking military officials visit an area, demonstrating their continued oppression of the local population.
