A spokesperson from the Tiger Force has confirmed that People’s Defense Forces (PDF) successfully attacked military council troops conducting patrol operations along the Sagaing-Monywa road in Myinmu Township, Sagaing Region, resulting in three military casualties and the seizure of three weapons. The incident occurred at approximately 5:40 AM on August 14, when PDF forces implemented a guerrilla snake-head strategy to ambush soldiers who had emerged from a military checkpoint stationed along the Sagaing-Monywa road.
According to battle reports, five military council troops initially left their base, but only four entered the PDF forces’ target zone. Two soldiers were killed instantly at the ambush site, while two others attempted to flee. Of those who fled, one collapsed and died near their camp, while another sustained injuries to the arm. During the operation, resistance forces successfully captured three weapons from the military council troops. The coordinated attack demonstrated the effectiveness of the PDF’s tactical planning and execution.
The operation was carried out through a joint effort of multiple resistance groups under the command of the Sagaing District Military Command, including T.G.R Force, 11 Brother Force, Yay Nagar People’s Defense Force, Black Eagle Force, Black Brothers Force, Hero Force, and Demo Guerrilla Force. Officials confirmed that all PDF members successfully withdrew from the operation without sustaining any casualties or injuries. These operations are conducted with the aim of protecting local civilians and resisting the military council’s oppressive actions against the people. The successful coordination between multiple resistance groups highlights the growing capabilities of Myanmar’s resistance forces in their struggle against military rule.
