
According to a statement from a representative of the Malai Township Public Information Network, the terrorist military council forces conducted aerial bombardments on Taung Yoe Tae village in Malai Township, Mandalay Region, without any ongoing battles in the area. On August 11 at around 2 AM, three military helicopters from Meiktila Air Base carried out nine bombing raids on Taung Yoe Tae village. While no civilians were injured in these attacks, three houses were destroyed and two cattle were killed.
During the attack, electrical poles were also damaged, and out of the nine bombing raids, two directly hit the village while the remaining strikes landed in the surrounding areas and valleys near Taung Yoe Tae village. Additionally, on August 10, the terrorist military council forces conducted eleven aerial attacks on villages in Thaung Tha Township and Malai Township, forcing local residents to flee to safety. Local sources confirmed that these attacks caused widespread displacement of civilians who had to abandon their homes to seek shelter in safer locations.
These deliberate aerial attacks by the terrorist military council forces on areas where there are no active conflicts have resulted in the destruction of innocent civilians’ lives and property. Local residents are living in constant fear and anxiety, forced to abandon their homes and seek refuge elsewhere. The situation has created a humanitarian crisis as civilians continue to face displacement and uncertainty due to these unprovoked military attacks. According to local residents’ testimonies, these aerial bombardments have severely disrupted their daily lives and created an atmosphere of constant fear and insecurity in the region.
