
A spokesperson from the Myingyan North Guerrilla Force has confirmed that one soldier was killed and two others were injured when resistance forces attacked military personnel who were traveling to attend a wedding in Seemee Khone city, Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region. The incident occurred around 7:00 AM on August 10, 2023.
The resistance forces ambushed the military personnel, who were traveling on five motorcycles to attend a wedding in Sone village, at the Shwe Taung Oo Pagoda intersection in front of a school in Seemee Khone city. During the attack, one soldier was killed and two others sustained injuries. Following the shooting, military reinforcements arrived at the scene and transported the deceased soldier’s body and the injured personnel to Seemee Khone Hospital.
The operation was jointly carried out by the People’s Defense Force Alliance, Myingyan North Guerrilla Force (MNGF), SMK Group, Myingyan Danger Dynamite, and Myaung Township Information Team. The resistance fighters successfully withdrew from the area without suffering any casualties. Local sources reported that the deceased soldier would be buried near Seemee Khone Hospital on August 11. The coordinated attack demonstrates the continued resistance activities against military forces in the region, with various revolutionary groups working together in their operations.
