
A military column from Naypyidaw entering Aunglan Township in Magway Region engaged in combat with resistance forces, resulting in significant casualties for the military council, according to an official from the People’s Defense Force Punnyawadi (Thaungdwingyi). On July 27 and 28, military council troops advancing from Naypyidaw entered Ban Kone village, leading to clashes with revolutionary forces in the Bago Yoma area of Aunglan Township on July 29.
During the engagement, over 40 military council soldiers were killed. After the battle, around 3 PM, when military vehicles attempted to retrieve the bodies of the deceased soldiers, the convoy was attacked again by resistance forces with mines between Dhanunn Myaing Gate and Wase Myaing Gate in Sinpaungwe Township. This secondary attack resulted in 15 additional military casualties and the destruction of one military vehicle.
Furthermore, on July 31, a police vehicle departing from Nine Pin Police Station in Sinpaungwe Township was targeted with mines between Nine Pin and Thasi Gate, resulting in four police casualties and vehicle destruction. These operations were jointly carried out by Saraik District Battalion 5 (Sinpaungwe Township), People’s Defense Force Punnyawadi (Thaungdwingyi), Southern Magway People’s Defense Force, and Sinpaungwe PDF.
