
U Kyaw Ni, Deputy Minister of Labor in the National Unity Government (NUG), has taken on an additional role as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration. In an interview with PVTV, the NUG’s information department, U Kyaw Ni revealed that he is currently conducting field operations in territories directly controlled by the NUG.
According to U Kyaw Ni, the revolutionary forces control vast territories with significant population numbers. He explained that in these areas, revolutionary forces are managing various aspects of civilian life, including economic affairs, transportation, education, healthcare, and in some areas, electricity supply. The administration of these essential services falls under the purview of revolutionary forces working to maintain stability and support for the local population.
In his capacity as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration, U Kyaw Ni emphasized that his focus is on strengthening and systematizing administration, security, and police operations. He specifically highlighted ongoing efforts to establish systematic cooperation between NUG-controlled territories and areas under the control of Ethnic Revolutionary Organizations (EROs) in matters of administration, immigration, and law enforcement.
U Kyaw Ni disclosed that field operations are being conducted in close coordination with NUG President Duwa Lashi La and other cabinet ministers. He elaborated on the extensive nature of the revolutionary forces’ controlled territories and their efforts to address the daily needs of civilians living in these areas. The administration is working to establish effective governance systems while ensuring the provision of essential services to the population under their protection.
