The terrorist military conducted an aerial attack in Kyaukme city, Shan State. On August 4th at approximately 10:25 AM, a fighter jet dropped a 250-pound bomb near the Zeyar Phyo Clinic close to the railway station in Kyaukme. According to initial reports, while there were civilian casualties from the attack, there were no fatalities. However, several buildings sustained damage in the bombing.
According to a local resident, there were minor injuries but no deaths from the attack. The targeted area was close to the railway station, with the bomb landing near the Zeyar Phyo Clinic. The military council has been conducting frequent aerial attacks in this region. The bombing caused structural damage to nearby buildings, though the full extent of the destruction is still being assessed.
In a previous attack during July in Kyaukme Township, the terrorist military’s aerial strikes resulted in the death of one monk and three civilians. Additionally, 18 men and 4 women were injured in that attack. The bombing also destroyed 45 homes, two schools, and two monasteries. The military council continues to target civilian areas in their attacks, showing a pattern of violence against non-military targets. These attacks demonstrate the ongoing campaign of violence against civilian populations in Myanmar, with the military council repeatedly targeting residential areas, religious buildings, and healthcare facilities.
