
On August 4, a people’s strike column led a protest against the military dictatorship in the northern villages of Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region. Local residents participated in the demonstration carrying placards demanding the end of military dictatorship, complete elimination of the fascist military system, and the overthrow of the military regime.
Protesters displayed signs showing support for the National Unity Government (NUG) and People’s Defense Forces (PDF). The local population demonstrated their opposition to the oppression, human rights violations, arbitrary arrests, and torture occurring under military rule. The protest highlighted the continued resistance against the military regime’s systematic abuse of power and violation of civilian rights.
Yinmabin Township has emerged as a strong center of anti-military dictatorship activism within Sagaing Region, with local residents maintaining unified participation in opposition to the military regime. Today’s demonstration reflects the public’s continued resistance against military rule as part of Myanmar’s Spring Revolution, showcasing the unwavering determination of civilians to oppose the military dictatorship that has been oppressing the people since the coup.
