Revolutionary forces successfully attacked the military council troops stationed at the clearance building near Swa Dam in Yedashe Township, Bago Region, resulting in the death of six military council personnel including a captain, according to an official from the No. 2 Operation Area. The attack, which took place on July 30, was carried out by a coalition of resistance forces including the People’s Defense Force, No. 2 Operation Area, Bago Division Military Command, Strategy 21, Battalion 3501, along with allied revolutionary forces PIO/PIA and the Asho Chin Defense Force (ACDF).
During the operation, resistance forces seized six small arms, a significant amount of ammunition for these weapons, and various military equipment from the military council troops. Following the battle, revolutionary forces completely destroyed the clearance building where the military council forces had established their position. The Swa Dam area represents a strategically important location for military council operations in the region, and this successful attack by revolutionary forces has significantly impacted the military council’s operational capabilities in the area. The coordination between various resistance groups demonstrated in this operation reflects the growing strength and improved cooperation among revolutionary forces in the Bago Region.
The death of a military council captain during the battle represents a significant blow to the military council’s leadership structure and has diminished their military capabilities in the region. The weapons and ammunition captured during the operation will be utilized by revolutionary forces in future operations. The successful attack on this military council position demonstrates the increasing effectiveness of resistance operations and the strengthening alliance between different revolutionary groups fighting against the military council in the region. The complete destruction of the military council’s position at the clearance building has eliminated an important strategic foothold for the military council in the area, further limiting their ability to conduct operations in the region.
