
The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) reported that an airstrike by the military council on Mogok City in Mandalay Region has resulted in 12 civilian deaths and 14 injuries. On August 2nd at 8:25 AM, the military council’s fighter jets dropped two 250-pound bombs on Mogok City, killing one monk, one child, and ten men, while injuring twelve men and two women. The bombing also destroyed 10 houses, 3 cars, and 3 motorcycles.
The military council has been continuously conducting airstrikes on Mogok City, which is under TNLA control, causing numerous civilian casualties throughout May, June, and July. On July 29th, starting at 9:30 AM, they dropped seven bombs on the city, followed by a second attack at 9:40 AM. Later that day at 10:39 AM, they conducted another airstrike near East Village, Bi Mountain, and RQ Hotel area.
On July 26th, after 5 PM, they bombed the Golden Butterfly Hotel with fighter jets. On July 13th, they attacked Pan Ma Htike Village in eastern Mogok with 500-pound bombs, injuring 6 civilians and destroying 7 houses. On July 9th at 8:18 PM, an aircraft from Tatkone Air Base dropped a 300-pound bomb on Kular Garden in Taung Kachin Ward, Pan Ma Htike area, killing two 12-year-old children instantly and injuring 8 civilians.
On July 8th around 9 AM, they dropped a 500-pound bomb near Gaung Ba Valley School in western Mogok, killing 3 civilians and injuring many others. On June 25th at 11:13 PM, they bombed near Ohn Kine Monastery in the eastern area, damaging houses, cars, and causing the monastery’s ceiling to collapse and destroying its dining hall. On May 13th at 11:49 PM, they also conducted airstrikes around the Golden Butterfly area.
