Revolutionary forces successfully captured two military council camps in Kyaukkyi Township, Bago Region, on July 25. The first operation targeted a military council camp in Yintaikkone village, carried out through joint forces including the People’s Defense Force Operation Area 2, Bago Division Military Command, Strategy 25, Battalion 3702, Special Commando Battalion, and KNLA Battalion 9, as part of the Sittaung River Valley Operation (JOC).
In the battle at Yintaikkone village camp, six military council soldiers were killed and more than 20 were injured, with the remaining soldiers fleeing the camp after the battle. The revolutionary forces lost one comrade and several others were wounded. During the operation, they seized numerous heavy weapons, small arms, ammunition, and military equipment. The successful capture of this strategic position marked a significant victory for the resistance forces.
On the same day, another military council camp in Letpat village was attacked by combined forces including Bago Division Military Command, Strategy 24, Battalion 3503, Nagani Battalion, Strategy 26, Royal Daung Battalion, Battalion 3703, Forest Crow Battalion, and KNLA Battalion 8. This engagement resulted in more than 10 military council casualties, while the revolutionary forces lost one comrade and two others were wounded. During the battle, the resistance forces also evacuated military family members who were trapped in the conflict zone to safety. These coordinated attacks demonstrate the growing capabilities and strategic cooperation between various resistance forces in their campaign against the military council’s presence in the region.
