A civilian was killed and two others were injured when the terrorist military conducted an airstrike on Naytat village in Pauk Township, Magway Region, according to representatives from the Anyar Land Civil Society Organization. The attack occurred around 4 PM on July 15, when a fighter jet from the Tatmadaw’s Tataoo Air Base conducted two bombing runs over the village. Local sources confirmed that these airstrikes specifically targeted innocent civilians in the area.
Civil society organizations in the Anyar region have urged local residents to remain extremely vigilant against air attacks and recommended that every village install air raid warning systems and construct bomb shelters and trenches as essential safety measures. It was reported that Naytat village has already endured four previous airstrikes. The organizations also warned residents to be particularly cautious of military council informants operating within Myaing and Pauk townships.
On the same day, around 1 PM, the military council also conducted an airstrike near Minepin Bridge on the Maingnaw-Kyaukme road near Maingnaw town, an area controlled by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) in northern Shan State, dropping two bombs in the vicinity. These military council airstrikes continue to target civilian populations, making it crucial for local residents to maintain heightened awareness for their safety and security. The pattern of attacks demonstrates the military’s ongoing strategy of targeting civilian areas, putting ordinary people at constant risk in their daily lives.
