
The Monywa Youth Attack Force (MYF) reported that resistance forces conducted an attack on a military council convoy returning from a supply mission in Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Region, on July 10. The attack occurred around 7:30 PM, targeting a convoy of five armored vehicles that was returning from delivering supplies in the Monywa area. The resistance forces successfully engaged the convoy along its route.
During the attack, the fourth and fifth vehicles in the convoy were reportedly hit. While there were confirmed casualties among military council troops, the exact number could not be verified. Following the initial attack, there were exchanges of fire with local military council troops stationed in the area. The resistance forces had to withdraw due to ammunition constraints. The attack demonstrated the continued resistance activities in the Sagaing Region despite challenges faced by revolutionary forces.
The operation was carried out through a coordinated effort of multiple resistance groups, including the Golden Peacock Attack Force, Monywa District Battalion 23 Unit 2, Monywa District Battalion 17 Unit 3, Tiger Fighter M-21.2, and AERA-71 Local People’s Defence Force. This joint operation showcases the unity and cooperation among local defense forces and indicates the ongoing strength of revolutionary activities in the Sagaing Region. The coordinated nature of the attack demonstrates the growing capabilities of resistance forces in conducting operations against military council targets in the region.
