A spokesperson from the Bogyoke Hring Force has confirmed that military council troops suffered casualties following a drone strike near a monastery in Ram Phoe village, Tanintharyi Township, Tanintharyi Region. The attack occurred on July 9th in the evening when approximately 30 military council troops from the Zaweh base were conducting a patrol in the area. The revolutionary forces initially launched a mine attack, followed by two drone strikes when the military council troops fled into the village.
According to the resistance force official, while the exact number of casualties among the military council troops could not be immediately confirmed, the operation successfully targeted the patrol group. The attack was carried out through a coordinated effort between the Bogyoke Hring Force and the Myeik PDF (People’s Defense Force). The resistance fighters were able to withdraw safely from the area after the operation, with no casualties reported on their side.
This attack represents part of the ongoing resistance movement against the military council’s oppression of local civilians in the Tanintharyi region. The resistance forces have been employing various tactical approaches, including the use of drones and explosive devices, to counter the military council’s presence in the area. The successful coordination between different resistance groups demonstrates the growing effectiveness of their operations against military council forces who have been conducting regular patrols and maintaining a presence near civilian areas such as the monastery in Ram Phoe village.
