A representative from the Anyarmai Civil Society Organization-Myaing has confirmed that the military council conducted an aerial bombardment on a school in Panteintaw village, Myaing Township, Magway Region. The attack, which occurred on July 11th between 12:00 PM and 12:36 PM, created a concerning situation for local residents. While no civilian casualties were reported during the attack, several buildings, including school facilities, sustained damage.
The aerial assault came in response to a successful operation by revolutionary forces who had captured the military council’s guard post and project office in Myaing town. During this operation, resistance forces captured 12 military council soldiers alive and seized 13 weapons. Local sources indicate that the military council’s aerial attack on civilian areas was a retaliatory measure following the loss of their guard post. The military council deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure, demonstrating their continued pattern of attacking innocent civilians in response to military losses.
A representative from the Anyarmai Civil Society Organization-Myaing provided detailed information about the attack, explaining that the military council had systematically planned the assault on the school in southern Myaing’s Panteintaw village, utilizing mechanized aircraft for the bombing operation. Currently, local residents are being warned to remain vigilant about potential further aerial attacks in the Myaing Township area. The civil society organization has issued specific warnings to civilians to take necessary precautions against air raids and to be particularly careful in their daily movements, as the military council may conduct additional aerial operations in the region.
