
According to revolutionary military sources, intense fighting continues as the military council forces attempt to regain control of the Kyaindone-Kawkareik road section in Karen State, conducting daily artillery strikes. On the morning of July 10, military council troops from Kyaindone 545 Battalion and Gyaing Bridge fired more than 40 artillery rounds, while ground forces advanced toward Upper 9 Mile and Lower Inn Gyi areas, intensifying the conflict. The military council forces have been conducting continuous artillery strikes and ground operations.
On July 9, the military council forces conducted sustained artillery strikes, with ground battles continuing throughout the day. Due to high casualties among military council forces, they are reportedly preparing to deploy the DKBA/BGF (Yellow Scarf) forces led by Colonel Bi, providing them with full weapons and equipment for offensive operations. Additionally, the military council has reinforced their positions at the Gyaing Bridge Kyaindone side with new recruits and is conducting military training operations, according to revolutionary forces.
A military council strategist of commander rank has established a base at the Kyaindone hilltop monastery, directly commanding the operations. Y-12 aircraft have been conducting daily flights around Kyaindone town during the fighting. The KNLA-led revolutionary forces maintain control of Kawkareik Township and Kyaindone town in Karen State, particularly holding key highways and checkpoints throughout Kawkareik Township. The revolutionary forces continue to defend their positions against the military council’s attempts to retake control of the area.
